IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC SERVICES

Jakarta-PR: On Monday, 1st August 2016, Group of Commission III of Parliament of Republic of Indonesia in Recess Period doing work visiting in Pekanbaru High Court, the group lead by DR. Benny K. Harman, SH., MH., at the same time Group also visit another legal institutions in Pekanbaru such as High Attorney, Regional Office of Ministry of Legal and Human Resources, and etc.

In Court, meeting opened by Benny then continued by Head of High Court of Pekanbaru, I Putu Widnya, SH., MH. In his speech, Putu explains that establishment of Teluk Kuantan General Court is needed, beside that some courts still no sitting plaazt (Trial Room) for justice seeker who live far from Court. Putu also says that juvenile court, prison for juvenile and Women, then mediation room still needed. He describes too that General Court will be improved in increasing general court management, accessibility to easy way for justice seeker and also easy way for poor people to get justice trough posbakum (aid legal room), prodeo (free trial for poor people) and etc.

Head of Pekanbaru Religious High Court, Dr. H. Alimin Patawari, SH., MH in meeting says it’s needed to build Tanjung Pinang Religious Court as Apellate Court for Riau Island and to build Religious Court of Bintan. He also tells that Posbakum budget need to be added. “Posbakum is a room for poor people who seek justices, but ironically this room is not always there in 16 Courts.” Said Alimin. Religious Court, according to Alimin cooperates with local government to help poor people to get access legal services trough Mobile Court (Sidang Keliling).

State Administrative Court has priority programs to improve the management of Military and State Administrative court in completing cases such as trial payment, security trial payment, finishing prodeo trial like free of charge for poor people and posbakum like budget supplying to pay legal consultant and stationary tools supplying, both in posbakum. The same asking comes from vice of head of Pekanbaru State Administrative Court, Bonnyarti Kala Lande SH., MH.

Question and answer between Group of Commission III and Judges in the meeting also included about RUU KUHP. They give suggestion each other in implementation of KUHP. The meeting getting warmer because judges and group of commission III give limerick to each other. The meeting closed by giving souvenir to each other as a form of good relationship between both of them. (lh/azh/RS)
