PROF. DR. M. HATTA ALI, SH., MH DELIVERED REMARKS IN ASEAN LAW CONFERENCE

Singapore-Public Relation: Prof. Dr. M. Hatta Ali, SH., MH, as President of ALA Indonesia delivered remarks in Asean Law Conference in Fairmont Hotel Singapore on Thursday, July, 26th 2018. The occasion attended by Chief Justices, Judges, and Lawyer from ASEAN Region. Each of ALA’ President from each country delivered remarks regarding on the law condition and development in Southeast Asia Region and also the idea of cooperation in the field of law.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. M. Hatta Ali, SH., MH said that the topic of ASEAN Law Conference in 2018 is The Power of One unlocking opportunities in ASEAN Through Law”. The topic was so appropriate regarding on rapid integration in Southeast Asian in many fields, not only in economic field and finance only but in law convergence in this region, besides that the big challenge still there in legal harmonization process for all economic and social stakeholders in ASEAN to get the equivalent level for the in ASEAN countries in providing the benefits for all stakeholders in that region.

The Law conference that will be held in three days discussed many issues, including the broad legal spectrum facing global challenges to produce innovative solutions and create guidelines for the role and use of law in the integrated ASEAN region, beside that the establishment of the ASEAN Law Institute expected to be a facility to disseminate and to implement many ideas for the harmonization of law in Southeast Asian countries.
