DELIVER MESSAGE FROM KUWAIT’S KING, KUWAIT AMBASSADOR FOR INDONESIA VISITS SUPREME COURT OF REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

Jakarta-Public Relation: Jakarta (22/12). Ambassador of Kuwait for Indonesia H.E. Abdul Wahab al-Shager visits Supreme Court of Republic of Indonesia (SCRI) on Friday, 22 December 2017 to deliver the special message from state of Kuwait on behalf Emir Kuwait (Kuwait’s King), H.E Sabah Ahmad Al Jaber As Sabah. The visiting no longer from Chief Justice of SCRI visits to Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Kuwait on 9-11 Desember 2017.

The aim of the message is thanks and highest appreciation to Chief Justice of SCRI who has visit Kuwait and try to strengthen cooperation in judicial field between two countries. Besides, Emir Kuwait represent Diwan Amiiri (State of Kuwait) which followed by Kuwait Ambassador in Jakarta delivers the special souvenir for SCRI.

“On behalf of the State of Kuwait to Republic of Indonesia, let me send you message from Diwan Amiiri (State of Kuwait) for H.E Chief Justice of SCRI and highest appreciation on visiting and trying to strengthen cooperation in judicial field which has been applied in Kuwait”. Said Abdul Wahab starts his conversation.

Furthermore, on the message and appreciation, Chief Justice of SCRI thanks and appreciates, He also hopes judicial cooperation will be built between SCRI and SJC will be realized soon then it will be give the benefit for both countries to realize law supremacy and justice. “We are very thankful to Emir Kuwait’s support and attention which host us very well to cooperate in judicial field in both countries.” Said Chief of SCRI in the sidelines of welcome.

Also accompanying in the occasion, several leaders of SCRI namely Vice Chief Justice of SCRI for Judicial Matter Dr. H. Syarifuddin, SH., MH., Chief of Religious Chamber Dr. H. Amran Suadi, SH., MH and Judge of Cibinong Religious Court Dr. Nasich Salam Suharto, LC., LLM.

Kuwait Ambassador tells that cooperation between Indonesia and Kuwait have been held since a long day and very tight. Told that in several months future two countries will be held meeting together in foreign affairs ministry level of both countries in frame of discussing about real cooperation that must be realized soon. There are more than 7-8 draft of Memorandum of Understanding must be improved by both parties.

Kuwait Ambassador and Chief Justice of SCRI agree that cooperation in judicial field both countries must improve and develop so it will be strengthened the joint efforts to realize the interest of both countries. “

"We are pleased that our efforts to establish cooperation with the Kuwait court have received positive response from the SJC Kuwait and the Kuwaiti state government, hopefully the cooperation between both judiciary institutions in the two countries can bring the common good," explained the Chief Justice of SCRI which was then greeted by Ambassador Abdul wahab.

Definitely SCRI has has agreement between SJC Kuwait that written in Letter of Intent (LOL) on 10 December 2017 in Kuwait. Substantially both parties agreed to build frame of cooperation in judiciary strategies include several field such as educating and training of law, judge professional development, comparative study, research in law and judiciary, exchange of visits to scientific events and workshops, the exchange of information, especially in the application and development of sharia-based law in both countries, other fields in accordance with the common interest agreed by the parties.
